BIMCO is the world’s largest international shipping association with over 2,000 members globally which include shipowners, operators, managers, brokers, and agents – from some of the largest shipping companies in the world to small local ship agents. We are organised around three pillars: Contracts, Regulatory, and Expert Knowledge. We work to promote and be part of developing global standards and regulations that support the protection of the marine environment with focus on the technical and operational reality of the global shipping industry.

The position will afford the applicant the opportunity to learn about the key environmental issues facing the shipping sector and to benefit from working within a team of sector experts with a wide range of experience and skills. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in working with complex datasets, turning data into information and report writing and presentation skills.
Location
The BIMCO London office is based in Vauxhall. We offer a hybrid-working model and working from home on a full-time basis is possible based on the candidate’s circumstances and preference.
Hours
Flexible- although full time (35 hours per week) is preferred
Start date is flexible but should be as near to 1 February 2025 as possible.
The internship is for a 12-week period.
Salary
BIMCO internships are paid at London Living Wage- currently at £13.85 per hour.
